Art With Me
Miami, Florida
December 8-10, 2023
“On our way out to the desert last month (Sept 2023) I found out that I’m receiving a grant from @artwithmelife to bring the Doors Of Perception to Miami this December. This is really exciting for a few reasons. I’ve never brought my art to Art Basel before but it’s been on my list for a long time, to be able to bring my art to @artwithmelife is quite an awesome opportunity. The past year and a half has marked some solid progress in my career as artist, a few significant milestones were achieved and new levels have been unlocked. I’ve put tens of thousands of hours into painting and 100,000 hours into figuring out how to make a living from painting - next year it’ll be 7 years that I’ve been artist as my full time job. I couldn’t do it any other way and I love what I do, but it’s work, and it’s the kind of work where you never know how or when you’re going to get paid. It’s the kind of job where you just have to fully invest all of your time, money, and sanity into the project and just hope all the pieces will fall into place. This has worked for me so far and I’ve been very blessed to have the support that I’ve had from people collecting my paintings over the years. I’ve never been one much for planning but the future that I’m stepping into requires downright meticulous planning, scrupulous scheduling and a very comprehensive budget - no more just getting in the truck with the dog and sending it with no itinerary, not that that was a very good method for what I was trying to do anyway. To the point, if you’ve connected with the art and you have a space on your wall that needs a psychedelic portal to the antipodes of your unconscious mind - now would be a great time to get one.
Thank you to everyone for a great summer, literally cannot do it without all of your support.”
